I m accounting student.
IN accounting course, many things to memorize.
Taxation need to memorize the section ,Audit need to memorize the steps. Performance management require less memory power, we only need to apply the rationale (still need to memorize some formula).... Ya, understanding make your memory last longer.
However, my understanding is not good & my memory power is even poor. So, my results sucks (in addition, i m not hardworking)

Any top students is this field can help me?

Maybe these jokes will shed some light..no offence intended..i'm an accounting student too =p

If an accountant's wife cannot sleep, what does she say?
"Darling, could you tell me about your work."

An accountant is having a hard time sleeping and goes to see his doctor. "Doctor, I just can't get to sleep at night."
"Have you tried counting sheep?"
"That's the problem - I make a mistake and then spend three hours trying to find it."

Now you get the profile of an accountant-to-be....boring :? and too busy counting  LOL

I am studying ACCA professional course. I already completed Part 2 (straight passes), now doing Part 3.
Ya, accounting is boring. Medicine is hot because u can tonnes of money after u graduate. Research (UK country) shows that freshgraduates with medical degree or higher qualifications have the highest salary. Accounting is ranked 30, lawyer is 28 (something like that...) Guess what, nurse is ranked top 10!!! Bio tech, pharmacy & Mechanical Engineering is top 10.

Haha..each to his/her own...Well, to me there are many new accounting paradigms now with integrated IT. Accounting actually offers flexibility..can go into consultancy, business, finance, education or management. Can join the high-powered corporate world 8) or work from the peaceful comfort of home. really depends on what we want. Of course the main reason is my interest in the going-ons of the commercial world. There was no hesitation for me, what more when a scholarship was thrown in.

Anyone here doing ACCA professional course?? During recent release of ACCA results, my senior who is a top student in our school fail one paper in final part 3 papers??
I am doing Part 3 Optional paper, Performance management & Taxation. I am worry that I will fail !!!
Anyone can share how they study for ACCA or Accountancy degree?? I thought I am smart (which is apparently the opposite),so I took ACCA !! But, after seeing all those straight A's students in SPM fail ACCA, resit again & again. I have doubt on passing my ACCA. Which tuition centre is good on these 2 subjects (PMT & TAX)???? HELP ME!!

During SPM , I am pure science students.... I did not get straight A1s in my science subjects though I study hard, so I decided to have a change. Initially, I choose Business Administration ,after hearing many advices, finally i pick up account.

Surely, is not interest. I pick Account because I thought it is easy.... Now, I only know that nothing is easy. :P :P

People say accountants make lots of dough. But I don't think that's entirely true. I've seen one that makes very little for the amount of work he does. That really sucks...

Ya, Im also an accounting student... But still fresh in this field... Studying CAT level... hehe, perhaps Irresistible is my senior, should ask some advices from you... Where are you taking your ACCA?? Do you choose your tuition centre base on the award recognised by ACCA (premier plus status) or base on the college itself... And I really have no idea on how difficult it will be for the Part 3 ACCA, but so far, Im still going very well in CAT.... Huh, really cant imagine how it will be in ACCA part 3 as I heard alot of "sad" stories from my seniors.... So, Irresistible, which papers are you taking in this december exams? wish you good luck in your exams...
