Just realized I made a stupid mistake in my JPA application.
As I'm currently staying in Kuala Lipis, it certainly makes sense that I choose Raub (which is about one hour away from here) as my interview location. But I didn't, instead I chose Kuantan (3 hours journey) as my interview location. Somehow I didn't notice Raub is in the interview location list.
The good news is I'm chosen to go for the interview in Kuantan next Wednesday. The bad news is I will need to put up the night at a Kuantan hotel (to make it for the interview, 8am the next day) and my parents will have to drive all the way there to take me for the interview. How troublesome.
Is it possible that I call up JPA and ask them to change my interview location? Would that affect my chances of getting the scholarship?

Give them a call, and tell them about your predicament. They will most likely able to change your interview location for you...

keep the trouble to yourself.

it not like JPA doesn't want to help, but it was your own careless mistake.
The panel also wouldn't welcome extra student after a whole day of interview.

Considering that this topic was created a good five days ago, presumably the topic creator has, by now, sorted things out, either by arranging for a change of location, or for hotel accommodation to stay the night as mentioned.

Your last sentence thus doesn't make sense.

You know what they say. If you don't have anything good to say, do keep your mouth shut!

To further clarify myself, I'm not sure what exactly you meant by "after a whole day of interview".

The topic was created well before the interviews started, and if the topic creator managed to arrange for a change of location, chances are she'd have done it quite promptly so it isn't a very last minute change, so how can one even assume that she'll be the last one in the interview lineup?

In any event, there have been cases in which applicants show up at the interview and say they want to change their course of choice, and they're still allowed to anyway.

Cocky I am not, but I won't stand and watch people being berated senselessly for an innocent mistake. Everyone makes them, including you. So, I wish you be so kind and give answers in a kinder way. You may consider this a warning.

1. not all interview session start today. there still can be changes.
2. all the panel have their own list of interviewee for each day. late comers and student who change their interview place only will be entertained after all other student has been interviewed.
3. only medicine student are allowed to change the course of choice.

clear?

and everyone should pay for their mistakes, right?

I think it was kind enough. It's for his own good.

Everything has been settled now, and i believes the thread starter has done appropriate actions on his problem or mistake. So, just relax and don't take this so seriously. Be kind when giving your advices though.

I'll give you the benefit of doubt, and presume that everything in that post is true.

And now I'm saying, if the change was done far in advance, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. If I were an interviewer, I probably wouldn't bat an eyelash at an extra candidate who made arrangements to change location very shortly after the candidates were called [e.g. a week ago], but I would understandably be annoyed if there was a surprise addition to my list on the morning of the interview.

In short, so long as the changes are made way in advance, chances are, interviewers aren't arsy about changes like these. Thus, neither should you be arsy about it.

Also, the fact that only Medicine applicants are entitled to change their course during interview doesn't detract from my ultimate point -- that there have been changes which are far more last-minute.

Honestly, take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Sure, it was a stupid mistake by any stretch of imagination, but you could have been less arsy about things, since chances are she'd have gotten away with it anyway.
