After 17years we have been studied.. why must look for a JOB?

We have spent our parents' money more than RM200,000(17years). and my first pay check just RM1,400.. not enough for us to survive and pay our parents..

Now i know the meaning of J.O.B....Just Over Broke, b'coz Just Obey Boss!

So sad.....:(

Do we have any other choice other than look for a job after graduated?
Spend so much of money since we are 7 years and almost to 25 years old to get graduated for having the certificate in our hand just for nothing?
I think thats a waste of time.. People graduate so that they could be in good position in their life one day unless they are business minded.. If not of course we must look for a job after graduated to secure our life and of course to pay back our PTPTN loan also..:)

You look for a job to earn money, to do what you have passion in, to lead a better life. I don't know what you studied because normal graduates that finished their studies in degree/diploma will get a higher salary than RM 1400 unless you didn't put in much effort in your studies. Anyway, start small and you can eventually pay back all the money used for your studies. Your salary will not stick at RM 1400 forever. If you perform well, you can secure a better job with higher salary.

Fret not because its useless thing to do. Life still goes on no matter you live it happily or sadly. In any case, the former is better than the latter. :)

I am madly in love with a handbag.

It is made out of the finest leather and materials, and oozes classy elegance. It sits primly on a glass shelf in the window display of the Christian Dior shop that I sometimes pass.

The pricetag of the handbag makes my nose bleed each time I look at it.

I obviously need money.

I get money when I work.

The sooner I start working, the closer I get to my handbag.

And the sooner I start working, the sooner I start getting a pay raise. And bonuses.

And with the bonuses that I accumulate over the years, I will be able to buy not just handbags, but pretty little bracelets, classy shoes and gorgeous dresses. And that lovely little penthouse located in the posh KLCC-area.

Okay I so want to start working NOW. >_>

------

With all jokes aside, however, I think it's admirable that you wish to help financially support your parents after all that they've done for you.

But you honestly need to be realistic. RM1400 is not much by any stretch of imagination these days, even if you're living with your parents. Why not start paying them back only after you've landed a pay raise? Alternatively, you might want to look into other means of raising money. E.g. investing, part-time businesses, finding a better-paying job, etc.

All the best, and don't let the frustration get to you!

P.S. BattleBoyz's advice is pretty good, and I'd like to echo his thoughts: Your salary probably won't stick at RM1400 forever so just slough it out for the first few years until you get a pay raise or a better job.

Stay in that job for two years. learn everything there is about that job. then move to one that pays higher by 100%.

Thanks for comments. As i mentioned earlier that was my first pay..now i am getting RM4,800 per month after 10 years in the accounting.

I am thinking now i am getting 4800, wat abt another 10 years? will i getting double from now or lesser?

Due to reccession, inflation happen always...i might not able to secure my JOB...my boss can recruit a fresh graduate to replace my position...luckily i have plan for myself..

Hi guys,

Its always good to have a backup plan. I am glad you got over it and have a good job now. Keep up your effort. I am sure you can get a better salary if you continue to work harder. After all, there are companies that like experienced accountants than newbies. :)

Hi sis.. Im new here and nice to meet you..:) I've read the book Rich Dad Poor Dad last time.. Its something like in that book.. We study, graduate, get a job, work and buy what we wish and pay all the bills.. "people learn to work for money.. but never learn to have money work for them".. Thats what stated in that book.. The more we work the more we get money and the more we spend our money.. Thats what happen once we get a job and thats the reality..:)

We need to get a good job upon graduation, mainly is to afford our life, and improve our lifestyle. Graduate without any effort to find a suitable job, is totally wasting 18 years(approximately) of studies, time, efforts and parents' money. Our parents spent a lot on us, making investment on us, care about us with invaluable love for such a long time since we were born, and it's time for us to repay them once we are graduated, by working.

Working is the source of money, and unless you were to build up your own business, eventually you would still need a job to gain income. Besides, we would have to work to build our career, to gain precious experiences and to fulfill our materialistic mind. I believe, everyone would have desires to buy things, to fulfill their materiality world, for example luxurious cars, huge bungalow, stylish watch, fashionable handbags, etc. When our desires are being fulfilled, we would feel the sense of satisfaction, and might be happy. Rome was not built in a day, even with a low income initially, with time flew and experiences gained, we would eventually get higher income and even bonuses, as compared to those fresh graduates. Accumulations of various capitals would eventually make us rich.

Always have a back up plan might work wonders, especially during economics recession, as you might not know what might be awaiting you in future. You might enjoy the money you earned today, but you might lose your job tomorrow. Nobody knows what would happen tomorrow, so have an extra income would be a wise act. You might want to make investment on your capital to earn extra income. But, my advise is, never be over-materialistic, not even a day, because everything can be gone in seconds. Appreciation seems to be the best solution. Good luck! :)

No work, no pay. This applies to all kinds of jobs. It doesn't matter whether you are self-employed or are employed by a company, it is still work.

I wonder though, if your passive income brings you more money, why not just quit your main job and concentrate on it? Why is it still a "part-time" job?

I am non stop chasing my dreams...just using my fews hours a week to create my passive income...I am believing, consistently doing for 1 year, i am sure will achieve Rm10,000 a month..

I am juz started my part time la...of coz not dare to fire my boss la...
we have to make sure that our part time income muz more than wat u have then only can resign...dont take the risk...

Well, if you don't want to look for a job, that's fine, for example if you are thinking of furthering your studies.

But eventually getting a job is a must, unless you want to live a totally primitive life in the jungles or something like that.

Like it or not, the vicious cycle of life dictates that we need to conform with society. You need to earn your keep, and studying is part of grooming you towards earning your keep. And the job, well, it's for you to earn your keep.

If you are thinking of why is it that you need a job:
1. Do you want a flat-screen LCD or LED television?
2. Do you want a Ferrari or a Porsche?
3. Do you wish to travel around the world?
4. Do you wish to buy some other things that you like so much?

If you answer yes to any of the above questions, then you need $$$. Although they say opposites attract, unfortunately hard cash doesn't automatically come into your soft hands.

Unless you come from a billionaire family, you will still need to get yourself a job if you don't plan to further your studies after graduating from your bachelor's degree.
