ANY SCHOLARSHIP LEFT FOR ME????

hi...i finished my spm in 2003...i am a science stream students...i scored all A1 n 1 A2(bahasa malaysia) for my spm...but i did'nt get any scholarship not even jpa or telekom or petronas (I AM NOT EVEN CALLED FOR THE INTERVIEW)..lastly i made up my mind to join IPTA...i took civil engineering diploma program....I JUZ WANA ASK U GGUYS IS THERE ANY OTHER SCHOLARSHIP THAT I CAN APPLY NOW USING MY SPM RESULTS???IF NOT, IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY?...I really hope that u guys can help me....

First things first. Did you actually applied for the said scholarships?

If you did. Did you appeal after that?

There are lotsa scholarships from private firms around. I can't think of one right of the cuff now.

My cousin was under Intel and he applied AFTER he got a place in USM.

So, all hope is not lost, my friend.

yes i did apply ....i apply for everythin...jpa..telekom...matrikulasi..petronas.....the fact is...i am not even called for the interview...even matrix kicked me out...i duno how they choose the students...i scored very well in my spm n i am active in my school....kk.nvm...

is there any advice left for me..

i know it must be really disappointing since you weren't even called for the interview. i would suggest you to be more pro-active by calling them and ask them if first, they have received your application and second, why they didn't call you up for the interview.

there might be other external errors such as the letter they sent out to you lost in the mail or something. so, by being proactive, you actually find out why you weren't called and what not. you can also try to appeal to each organization, luck can be on your side. there are other scholarships such as MARA, TNB and Bank Negara that you might also want to consider.

not to put u down,even so many straight A1's didn't get the scholarships you see.one fifth scored at least A2 form BM,so there are plenty who attained a1 in BM.i personally know 2 straight A1's who didn't get any local uni,and have to end up at form 6.

well,jpa system is a bit weird.hard to predict.i know 3,4 ppls in my prepatory college who were awarded places to usa when all they asked for were germany or japan.

anyway....why dont you get summa cum laude cgpa range during your diploma years and later apply for JPA scholarships.check that at jpa website.best wishes.
