Yes, it's a great idea for me to learn programming by looking at other's code.

And I would submit mine as well, for peer reviews and stuff.

It benefits everyone.

I'm developing the 2nd version of my MP3 Request System for my homepage using PHP and MySQL ...

some cool features:
- this request system integrates an MP3 List, MP3 Download and MP3 Request in one package
- receive no more request emails - all requests are stored in MySQL
- make full use of PHP support for class
- its MP3 list allows visitors to request MP3 just by clicking the title of any song
- powerful administration system where you can grant requests very easily.
- download limiter - you can force your visitors to wait a certain number of minutes after downloading MP3 before they can download the next MP3. this prevent people who just come in, leech and go.
- fully customizable "request game" . explanation: let's say you want to limit the number of song requests you want to receive but you want to wait for a certain number of days before granting the requests. If you just accept the 1st X requests and reject any subsequent requests, it will be unfair to those who discover your site late. you surely don't want people to lose interest. that's why my MP3 request system is equipped with a "request game" where every visitor who posts a song request plays some kind of game (e.g guessing a number you set in secret). after the number of requests has reached the quota you set, any subsequent requests can steal a request slot depending on the request game. that way visitors are obliged to return to your site oftenly if they want their requests to survive the game.

I'll post it up when it's finished .. I don't expect anyone other than myself will be using this system on other websites but anyone who wants to learn php coding is welcomed to study the code .. :)

hey da-hype, it's a brilliant idea!. this is in fact , the idea of ReComForge. we definitely can start the website.

the idea, i think, is to start small and creating things that we can use and develop together. more brainstorming, I think already being discussed in the RecomForge thread.

well since i'm not a "PRO" in php coding.. i asked bachok to help me make a submition form like this web's..

http://www.hirc.org/hirc/sub.JPG

once a submition is in que.. it will be reviewed by admins.. and posted in a table like this..

http://www.mircscripts.org/archive/dlls (notice the DLL's by da^hype .. if you click on it there is a popup of a discription, users can put comments & rate and can view a screenshot)

i think if recom did it for their submitions.. it would make things much easier to view. lagi kemas.

i have started collecting all my assignments and projects.. and will post them on www.hirc.org when i'm free. :D
