Hi, i'm a rayuan student for lower six this year and have been troubled at the fact that i'm pretty far behind for my biology and chemistry. To top that off, my teachers can't make catch up classes and are always usually not in class for many reasons. I've tried reading myself but there are so many concepts that i can't simply understand.
My parents have recommended me going for tuition but living in a really kampong area, the good tuition centres are in town and are about almost an hours' drive from home.
My question, are the local tuition centres(those you find sandwiched between other shophouses) worth going to, despite not knowing their reputation, or is it better to just spend an hour and a half on travelling, three times a week for a good reputable tuition centre, sacrificing good sleep time and not to mention homework time?
If i do choose the latter, i am afraid i might break under too much pressure in the future and give up. My ambition is to be a pharmacist, and the very two subjects that are the core to achieving my ambition are on the line here.
