So ends the long search...
I would like to call for members of ReCom to offer a few kind words and to remember these poor souls who died performing their duties.
Special tribute to flying doctors who serve in the interior of Sarawak and Sabah. May God bless ye kind souls.

This letter was well written by Dr. Judson's eldest daughter, has been sent around to get more friends praying for them and it also showed how much Dr. Judson had done for his village and how he was greatly appreciated by the people here:

The only reason his death is highly publicized is because his a poltician
Quote from The Star; The Hornbill Skyways helicopter, piloted by Capt Samsudin Hassim, was taking state assistant minister Dr Judson Tagal and five others from Bario to Bakelalan on July 12 to study a possible gridline for telecommunications and power projects.
It's a tragic death but i don't understand why it's turning into a hero died kinda thing. He was there for business not on a life saving mission.

The news I read in the star only reports that 5 bodies were found at crash site. But are the bodies indentified already? I dont quite follow the latest report of this news though....
Anyway, my condolences to all victims and their families. Hope they rest in peace.

Thirdshifter...at the rate you are going..you are going to die a lonely man/woman. I hope you will change for the better in the future.
It maybe a telecommunication works but if you never been into the interior of Sarawak, please don't give me bull...
They know the risks they take by going to such places yet they still did...not like some paper-pusher who sits in his plush office shaking his leg.
Anyway, let's not be distracted from the real purpose of this post.
PM me if you want to rebuke.

No no...not this one. The Malay lady who got stabbed by her friend? Here...

Actually I also dont know it's my school's clerk' daughter. My younger bro was the one who told me about it... Frankly speaking, I cant remember who is the clerk of my secondary school already.. Low memory. :?
Sorry, didnt mean to distract from the real purpose of this thread.

yeah. thirdshifter. ministers who go near the heart of Borneo for 'possible gridline for telecommunications and power projects' do not do it for 'business'. it is to reach out to the people who LIVE in the area so that they too have electricity that u enjoy n take for granted. in case u don noe, the late dr judson tagal was a surgeon by practice n he usually give free medical care n advice in these areas...
before i get carried away,
it is all part of God's plans...
heartfelt condolences...
it feels even sadder coz i noe one of the deceased's offspring...

My deepest condolence to the 7 families of the victims...
Was reading Jemina's blog before logging into ReCom... It was very touching to see Jemina really appreciates those 1000 rescue workers who tried to locate her father and other victims. No matter how sad her heart was, she was strong to face it. May our prayers with those families.

but i would agree that this death has been receiving overwhelmed publicity just because Dr Judson Tagal is a politician. If an ordinary person died in such a tragedy, do you think he/she would receive similar attention? Think about it

anyway, i would like to express my condolences to the family members of the condolence.
However, we must all remember that this is God's will.
Isaiah 55:8-9
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD .
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

He was more than just a politician. The people revered him because he was a talented and friendly doctor. My grandfather went to him for consultation before and he said this doctor has this special air of compassion towards his patients.
A hero's death is not just characterized by the way he died but we should take into account his past deeds. In Dr. Juson's death, he was not just a politician but also an accomplished doctor.

This is another article that I've came across:
I urge the Government to recognise Dr Judson in the best possible way by seeing to fruition his efforts in lighting up those villages. It would have lit up his life too.
It's a very short article:
