JPA sent an email to all of their scholars in Australia (or worldwide?) regarding 3 issues, including a letter from which the excerpt above was quoted from. What is the PNGK that JPA is refering to? It wasn't in my contract.

I think it's the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average).

I think so long as you are not kicked out of uni, you are safe.
The CGPA is somewhere around 2.0 I believe.

for JPA PIDN , those scholars being sponsored locally, the cut off point stated in the letter is 3.3 which is a way quite high.
FYI, if u were to extend for 1 semeter, JPA will lengthen your bond for another 1 extra year, this is what i received from them-- a letter of notification ,few weeks ago.

That's interesting, Athersin. Medicine in Monash has an option to get a degree in Biomedical Science with an extra year of study. I wonder whether I could ask for an extra year of bond for that... But I digress.
Surely the JPA scholars weren't allowed to just scrape by in the past?

If you extend six months of study, your bond will be extended by one year. So if you were to go for an extra year, you'll serve another 2 years bond :)

i wonder why u have to extend another year to go for Biomed degree since you are already in medicines in the first place. they are different courses alltogether.
you are allowed to extend with proportional to your years of bonds.
PS: from what i know, those who can't really cope with their study and fail their subjects are the one who apply for the extend.so just do your best in you degree.:) the cut off point for IPTS wan't that high as compared to IPTA. and for medicine, phar and dentistry, as long as you PASS, then u should be fine.
