We are pleased to announce that the first issue of ReMag is out!

http://recom.org/ReMag/

It has not been an easy two weeks, but we finally made it, even against the odds. Thanks for everything, guys. Here's hoping that ReMag will develop and become a permanent project of ReCom.

*pops out the bubbly and sprays all the ReMag staff with it* Party time, everyone!

Feedback wanted. Please post all comments, suggestions and feedback in this topic, as we are still looking to improve ReMag. =)

Yeah, you'll need to create a new account. =)
We are still looking for ways to integrate the signing in system so that only one login is required for both sites. But for now, yes, you will have to register again with ReMag.

By the way, as much as I hate to be the party pooper, some feedback would be much appreciated.

What do you like about ReMag? What do you dislike about it? What do you think can be done to improve ReMag? What did you think about the quality of the articles, etc? What sort of content would you like to see in the future?

What I liked:

1. The various topics that were touched on.
2. Some awesome writing hidden in there!

What I think could be better:
1. I would prefer a more magazine feel.
2. A broad theme would be good but it needs to be broad enough so that all the writers can explore it from different perspectives. A compromise between the restrictive nature of a themed magazine and the creative nature of an open-theme would be to set a theme every other month.

Hmmm. What about the ReMag content we discussed prior to the lauch? I don't see much of that in the first issue.

Quality.. No comment. They have real talent :laugh:laugh I like Jern Siong's story the most :laugh

Dislike.. dislike... I dont really have much complaints. :amuse Except that I would like the design of the page to be brighter and livelier. Hehes.

I second youngyew and Plankie's comments. They've covered like all that I want to say about ReMag.

Here's an idea. Add a most popular section on the right column, I tend to read those first. If ReMag does get a lot of hits, then the widget could show most popular article by day, week, month, or of all time.

From the 1st glance, ReMag looks more like ReBlog to me. Its quite "blog-ish" to be mentioned. A more magazine look will be appreciated. (I like the description of the authors, lol). The next thing is that ReMag's posts' groups should be shown on top of the page (or the right or left hand side at least) so that visitors can directly go for posts they want.

Hosting events such as 'Post of the Week' or 'Post of the Month' will certainly boost morale of writers =)
