i hear a noise

i hear a clicking noise four or five times in a row. what is it?

I have a few things on mind
from experience - and surely not something you wanna hear - is something to do with your computer ... all i can think of is your CPU fan must be out
But surely this creative statement should of all places of thought direct towards that.

Say....maybe there is no noise in the first place and its just too quiet at your desk.
Man, i should would like to know whats that noise ;)

Hi,

I think the clicking sound would be the google bar or the msn bar on your browser that block the poping up of the advertisement.

Just have a look at the bar below ur address bar on the browser. You can find "how many" blocked or something like Pop-ups allowed..

hope this is ur problem!

is it just on this site? it's probably the IM block. it refreshes every few minutes to get new IMs

err... is the Home site supposed to refresh with a 'pop' sound each time someone logs in and out of Recom?

the sound, i think, is standard for IE when a site refreshes itself. i would guess the IM block is in an iframe that refreshes itself every few minutes.

I think qedx is right, and we can't fix it here. To disable the sound (or change it to your happy tune) try the following:

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Sounds

you should see a set of Program Events at the bottom and their associated sound. My guess is that you want to check Windows Explorer -> Start Navigation (or Complete Navigation), although I might be wrong. You can "preview" the sound by selecting the event and clicking on the "play" buttong below.
