Is the ICT course there good? I know that their engineering sector is one of the best in Malaysia, but how's their ICT sector?

Can anyone enlighten me?

Erm ... as for what i know, if you more towards ICT, i will suggest you to go to MMU, as it is a well known and one of the best ICT school in Malaysia.

Regarding the ICT course in UTP, i am not very sure but , what i am very sure is , the ICT course is somehow related to Oil and Gas industry. Every courses offered in UTP are related to Oil and Gas to be exact ;)

To say that every course offered in UTP is related to the oil and gas industry is quite a conceptual error. While it is true that graduates in UTP are more exposed to the oil and gas industry due to the presence of some big oil-and-gas giants, as well as some courses aimed at exposing students to the oil and gas industry, it does not mean that graduates from UTP cannot go into fields other than the oil-and-gas industry.

And it is politically incorrect to say that every course in UTP is related to the oil-and-gas industry. There are standard core subjects that must be taken by students of a particular programme regardless of where they might be doing it, MMU, UTP, UPM, UM, etc. Anything that is related to the oil-and-gas industry are additional subjects which are university requirements.

But it is correct to say that we aim to have a core strength in the oil-and-gas or offshore engineering sector.
