Novel Writing

I find this link about National Novel Writing Month, where November is selected as the month of writing novel, where this organization encouraged people to write novel on that month. Basically there is no prize award or anything, but they would just want people to write novel and share their novel on the website, basically to encourage people to write.

They have pretty good success.
1999: 21 participants and six winners
2000: 140 participants and 29 winners
2001: 5000 particpants and more than 700 winners
2002: 13,500 participants and around 2100 winners
2003: 25,500 participants and about 3500 winners

Winner is determined by those who are able to write 50,000 words within the month of November.

May be in ReCom we should encourage ReComers to write also... any thoughts?

I joined this.... only to write like 3000 words so far.. sigh... there were two articles about it in the Star newspaper,where they covered 6 Malaysians. One of the novels can be found here
