The Projek Kalsom 17 booklet will be given to all 200 students of Projek Kalsom 17 who come from less fortunate backgrounds but have the potentials to excel academically from all over Melaka. It will also be published on Projek Kalsom website for other students who are not able to attend Projek Kalsom 17. It is hope that this booklet will give the students some insight on the following topics:
University Experiences
Pre-University: Sixth Form, Matriculation, Foundation, A levels, Diploma etc
Study Tips The 6 Month "Gap Year": What you can do while waiting for SPM results and before starting college.
Introduction to Careers: Arts, Media & Mass Communication, Medicine & Health Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Law, International Relations etc

However, it must be noted that we are not trying to be over-ambitious in our approach of writing/compiling articles as it can be quite an elephantine task! What Projek Kalsom hopes to do with this booklet is to inspire these students to explore on the personal accounts of the topics above. The aim of this booklet is to give a personal touch to the project as students will receive many other materials that will give them an overview of possible careers and scholarships.
It is highly encouraged that everyone to tell their stories and experiences as this will be useful to the students who may be having similar experiences.The deadline for submission of these articles is 7th June 2011.
Anyway, please inform us if you have better ideas for the booklet as we may not have the best ideas!
