This thread is for people who are doing science majors/degrees, but no bio-related (eg. Biochemistry, Biotech, Genetics) or Chemistry and Physics here ... cos there are threads for you guys adi..
No offense to the people taking this subject but rather there is an abundance of people doing subjects like this and no support for the people doing science major/degrees like: Geology (that's what I'm doing), Food Sciences, Astronomy, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Oceangraphy... and anything else.

Of course, since I don't really know anyone who might be doing anything like this because they are such obscure subjects... I'll just sit here and twiddle thumbs :D

You can go to http://www.lsa.umich.edu/lsa/detail/0,2034,2006_article_1514,00.html to see what geoscience courses are. Hope that page will help you understand geoscience more...

Geology is a study of the planet and its various components: weather, plate tectonics, crystals, hydrology... It's not all about rocks, as some people seem to think...

Iyzzy, does geology require more of memorising or calculations...

I asked for this course with Petronas
it's not as popular as courses like engineering, medic etc...kinda hard to learn more about it. My fren said there's a shortage of geologists in the world right now...i donno how she got that info....

anyway, any personal opinion or experiences on geology, ppl?

thanks...
