Anyone applied Early Action or Early Decision to US universities?

If so, please post your results, I know you guys must be pretty excited... !!

For the record, I applied to Princeton early, got deferred, then rejected at RD.

Yeah, I think those who applied for Early Action/ Early Decision should hear back from universities around now. I have a friend from Shanghai got acceptance from Stanford already, so hopefully that there are some ReComers who have taken initiative to apply on Early Action/Early Decision.

dude, jpa is doing their best to put u into us universities.plus,it's darn hard for international students to get into for early decision intake.u booed at them when the didn't give scholarship,u booed at them when they gave u scholarship.

yeah, I think that's what's wrong with us...we complain too much abt JPA.
I do wish I could have applied for early decision though...my choice would have been Yale...got wait listed then rejected. sigh~

I would say that JPA does not say that you are not allowed to apply for Early Decision on your own. I know of JPA Scholars who get in to their universities of choice as Early Decision or Early Action.

One thing if you plan to apply as Early Decision/Action would be to take SAT1 in October as usual and then you need to take SAT 2 in November on your own. You may or may not be able to claim back from JPA, but I don't think that amount is too much of a hindrance, especially if you eventually get to enter a much more prestigious university.

Then get your application done earlier. Perhaps it is too late to comment on this now, but I really hope those in ATU 11 could share this experience with those ATU 12.

No no no i'm not complaining at all, just replying to the topic. Sorry. I would have applied EA/ED had i known it was allowed, but now i didn't, still no biggie.

Hey i'm wondering if i will need to "rush report" my SAT scores to the Univ. of California campuses cos i will only be sending my scores when my SAT II results come in this saturday. The UC deadline was Nov. 30. Does the Rush Report reach much quicker...i mean is it worth the extra money? The rest i intend to regular report.

Oh btw chenchow thanks for the suggestions on how to fix my collegeboard account. I called them already though, they're supposed to call me back and tell me how to fix it. Something about "maybe your cookies are too high"...i dunno, sounded completely foreign to me :P

I would say that you should check with UC whether taking the December test is fine. If it is fine, no point rush it. I don't think it would make much difference, because if you have already filled up to send the score when you sit for the test, they should post it the day collegeboard sends you your results.

naoj, remember to remind the younger batch next year on applying Early Decision/Early Action.
