Considered A-level ? It is a relatively safer option if you are not going to Australia or Canada. Since HK is also a Commonwealth country, I think they'd welcome you more if you had British certification (Cambridge A-level)

Cambridge A-Levels will be a wiser choice.

Thanks for your reply! But, A level is 100% based on examination.I prefer SAM or CPU as they are 70% based on assignments and 30% on exams.Which is better?SAM or CPU?

Actually SAM is 50% assignments and 50% continuous tests and exams.

Are you a good student?
If you are, take SAM. Universities in HK will not turn you away if you rock up with >ATAR98 and you'll also end up saving a year.
Otherwise, A Levels would be the safer option.

Telling from experience, a lot of my friends in these kinds of overseas matriculation (AUSMAT, SAM, CPU) have all told me one thing in common, they'd rather choose exams over assignments. Most of my friends are drenched in assignments so badly, they don't even have time to study themselves. Keep in mind that SAM is extremely fast, and if you can't catch up, your loss. Balancing assignments and exams is not an easy task, most of my friends are already struggling with it, to the point they are failing on assignments. Honestly, I was once like you, thinking A-level's 100% examination would be so similar to SPM. I didn't regret my choice of joining the program after, as I found out just how well thought planned this assignments are to train and to test your capabilities. But honestly, if you are really smart and determined, go ahead.
And yeah, just a check. Is your mastery in English just average, over-average, fluent or is your mother tongue ? A senior student in Taylor's SAM program did tell me that English mastery is ABSOLUTELY NEEDED.
Besides, since you said that you may want to do Law, do it in the country where their law-graduates are coveted every time employment slots are open. Which is UK. Keep in mind that the Law you learn in HK may be completely different from what you may practice back here in Malaysia (unless you don't plan to come back?) My friends who want to choose UK for Law tell me it's because Malaysia adapts the British legal system, which means studying it in UK will be more convenient rather than studying the laws of a country which you may never need to know back in Malaysia.

Hello! Although they stated that SAM is internationally accepted, but that is if you really get a very high ATAR and that required you to get all A in 5 subjects. (As for myself, I get a ATAR of 98, but I'm still waiting for offer from NUS :oh, so priority is given to students with pre-u course of more than 1 year) There are a lot of class tests and presentations, you got to have the preparation that SAM is a busy and tough pre-u course. (not really tough, cause discussion and group works are fun too :)) If you prefer SPM style of exam, then it's much safer for you to choose A-level, plus it is recognized worldwide, hk university will accept you for sure. This might help you a little :amuse
