Just come across this today in the Asia Times online. This piece is written by an American and I feel that you all might want to read it.

Apart from getting the UNMO election in Sep 04 confused with the General Election in Mar 04, I think Bettinger (the author) did a reasonably good job....I wish he had interviewed you lot!

I agree with dlearn that this is a very well written one. It is a pretty balanced piece and brought out the reality of situation.

Perhaps, we could utilize this thread to discuss about what's the perception of Malaysians upon United States. Perhaps, those who are currently in the US, could share with us how US is in your impression currently and how was it before you came.
