we've replaced the boring 'Game' section with a much more fun 'recomNN' (I seriously think that you need a PS2 to play game nowadays).
http://www.recom.org/modules.php?name=recomNN
(check the icon above).
recomNN, stands for Recom News Network is not News provided by ReCom (wait till Recom has its own reporter :) ), but it's a collection of popular RSS feeds.
It's aim is to emulate a Google-style news, and we hope it could be beneficial to all recom members.
Also, if you found any Interesting RSS feed, please post it here, so that we could evaluate it and add it to recomNN page.
This is a sample of RSS feed :
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/rss/ncf/news
(if you found a NewsIsFree link, most likely, its not an RSS feed, rather, it's a page just like recomNN).
we want to know what do you guys think.
Thanks

this is DARN cool...
it is really convenient... and fool proof... and everything is under one page...
I LOVE it.... no more browsing through several news pages at once... and...
the best is, it is at RECOM...
this page helps me to clear out some of my bookmarks(favorites)

Any suggestion on how to improve it ?. Prefer it at the front page?.
i think it is fine... since there's a logo at the frontpage which brings u directly to the page...
but i think, if the link to RecomNN is opened in a new web browser... it will be better...
i'm very use to multiple browser windows...
just a suggestion... wat do others think???

DecentMerson, in fact there is an easier way to over ride the link's setting of opening in the same windows. If you still use IE (I Discourage you  ), what you do is Shift + Click on the link. It will open on a new window. If you are using Firefox (my favourite), Ctrl + Click will open it in a new tab while Shift + Click will open it in a new window.

I suggest that we add feeds from slashdot for those who are IT-orientated. Besides, feeds from our recom members' blogs or their del.icio.us bookmarks would be nice to see also.

Slashdot no longer support RSS feed. A common error message would result if you try to grab some headlines from Slasdot :
Your Headline Reader Has Been Banned . Your RSS reader is abusing the Slashdot server.
Do Not Bother Contacting Us For 72 Hours .
You May Only Load Headlines Every 30 Minutes.

But we have a Linux Today under 'Geek Stuff' headlines.
I"m terribly sorry, but is this supposed to be just like that, or its a warning/error thing?
