I don't think there's anymore info about a recom member than the one that is publicly made available by the user itself.

Although it is not directly available, but from the users' history of messages, one can definitely track back to the user if he wants to. For example, who doesn't know chen chow is a malaysian student studying in cornell? Yes, you can say that identity can be fabricated, but just how many members in recom do fabricate theirs?

By law, without court orders we are not obligated to share IP addresses either. However we can voluntarily give it and are not subjected to any penalty or could be held responsible to anything relating of giving out your IP address. When you registered on this site you have already agreed to the terms and had virtually signed your rights off :D.. all your base they belong to us?

given the circumtances that you were spamming the crap out of recom, or whatever we deem to be "damaging" activities. We would not be inclined to share every possible information with the authority to get your ass kicked.

I think this rule applies to almost every website out there.

Recom.org is based in the USA so it has to be a US court. Unless a Malaysian court have some sort of agreement that i'm unaware of with the USA.

A joke i would like to share with you guys.

"Daddy" a son ask his father, "what's the difference between 'hypothetical' and 'realistic'?" "Well son," the father says, "go ask your sister if she'd have sex with her chemistry partner at school for $1 million and then go ask your mom if she'd screw the mailman for $1 million."

So the son goes off to talk to his mother and sister, and then comes back to his father. "Sis said, 'Hell yeah.' and Mom said, 'Of course,'" the boy reports.

"There you have it," the father explains. "hypothetically, we're millionaires, but realistically, we're just living with a couple of whores."

In short, we're safe. But the Malaysian government, US Gov and Rupert Murdoch is not.
