Hi im new member in ReCom, i need some info about how bright is my chance to get my desired course, Matrix student get 4.0 but screwed up my muet. any1 mind to share some experience?

i applied the same thing as u.I think MUET does not affect as there r band3 senior in UM doing dentistry.What is ur matric and skul kk marks?

I mean, apparently nobody can be 100% sure how the courses allocated: e.g. whether koko-marks are considered; and in what order are our course choices considered, for example

Let say Ali got a score of 90 (out of 100), and Abu got 80. (after considering academic and koko)

Suppose you need to get a minimum of 100 to qualify for medicine, 95 for pharmacy, 70 for Biotechnology.

Ali's choices are in the following order:

1. Medicine
2. Pharmacy
3. Biotechnology

Abu's choices:

1. Biotechnology
2. others
3. others

We can see that Ali will not get Medicine or Pharmacy, since he only got 90, which is lower than 100 (medicine) and 95 (pharmacy).

Both Ali and Abu are eligible for Biotechnology (minimum 70) though.

Suppose Biotechnology is a very popular course, and there is only one spot left. Who will get the course? Ali or Abu?

Sorry, we don't know. At least I don't.

Will Abu get the course, since he put Biotechnology as his first choice;

or should the course be given to Ali? Since he has a higher score?

Ya, while i hate to admit that, MUET result does not matter that much when it comes to getting your preferred university and course.
