Hello,

The Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs will hold a dialogue with students in Japan. Since they come from the Trade, it make sense to touch the issues related to the Malaysian market / consumer right movement. However, the issue is not limited to those stuff.
It could be as general well. Our aim is to grab several points that either we already discussed in Recom's Forum or some new thought, and turn it into several concise points that is suitable for this dialogue.

Here's what I wrote in the email to Recom Anchors, to get things started :

"The thing is, if we have a pretty good social system, people would be happy and that's when the government motivate people to work more, The reason why graduate are unemployed is mysterious : either there's a cobweb effect in our economy (that is, too many supply of workers in the same field), or the graduate do not meet the industry standard. In the former case, the govt need to study on how to encourage people to explore different fields
(the trend that I observe is that, there's a shift from the 'computer science' hype to 'biology' hype. these all potentially create a cobweb effect, and Malaysian govt are pretty good at chasing hype).

Or, it was a latter case in which local university system must be revamped (One thing that we could do is to introduce competition among our own colleges. Our education system needs a big twist to make it much more effective. And this does not limited to 'how' the courses are thought in school, I think this more towards how free the student can move. some UUCA laws ensures that students would become robot in the future. I think that's the big point to touch too.
Robot can't work unless you program it and calibrate it in a specific environment. Not robust.

I think we already discuss at length on those issues. the tricky thing is to relate them, and narrow it down to several concise points that could lead into a good discussion. "

I would say that one of the major aspect that we should look into would be on the scrupulousness of our traders, especially in tourist destinations. While not everyone is trying to cheat, there has been a good percentage that is doing so, and it has tarnished our tourism industry.

Another aspect would be about consumer awareness, of the consumer rights. FOMCA has been doing a decent job, but I think we need to work on this aspect more.
