I'm an ATU11 student in INTEC UITM and am planning to have "Jews in America" as the title for my Resource File project which is under the "American Cultural Studies" class.
The reason I chose Jews as the main topic is because it has been long since I've had interest in knowing the secret of success of their race in this very world. So while doing the resource file, I could learn and deepen my knowlege about them.
Please note that I will try and minimize racial and biased reports in the project. I have also spoken to Pn. Suzana, my ACS lecturer regarding the viability of my topic, and she gave me the green light.
So here comes the problem. As I went through the INTEC library, I found out that the library contains little ammount of books focussing on the aspects of my topic. Anything related to Jews are presented together with the Palestinian Issues. Additionally most of the books are one-sided as the writers originate from either Arabic countries or Palestine itself.
By only having those books, I dont think that I will be able to give a justified view of the success of the Jews particularly in America.
Currently I'm going through the books regarding American History as I am aware that Jews had a major involvement in the War of Independence and other important events in the history of America. However, what I need is a comprehensive book written by a Jew or a pro-Jew talking about the success and failures (if there's any) of jews in America. This is to give a natural, counter-negative, and two-sided views of the topic in question - "Jews in America".
Please recommend such books and methods to procure them. As a note, books written by Jews with pro-Jewish comments are hard to come by in Malaysia. And I dont have any Amazon nor eBay account. So how?
