The news these days are shocking! How safe is it to go out on the streets these days in Malaysia?

As a lecturer I have witnessed ex-colleagues being abusive and quite violent, nothing was done by the management. Infact everyone thought that it was safer to keep quiet even though by right a report should have been made to the relevant authorities. Those that are good get trampled on and those that are not so good become noted by popular demand. What is this world becoming? What was even more unbecoming was that if this lecturer had attacked a student this would have even been more serious. I sought advice from HR and the reply was that sacking was imminent but was not done as the HR manager also resigned. All I have heard from that organisation since I had left it was that the violent character had a bust up with management and had been given 24 hours. That person should be in an asylum not an institution of higher learning.

I hope that doesn't happen in where I'll be studying...
