i'm thinking of studying there... care to gimme some advices? like the pros and cons over there... because i'm relatively poor and i couldnt bare to miscalculate things if i'm going over... those questions are mainly based on MMA [moscow medical academy] or IF u're from other universities, u're most welcome to tell me about situation there too..

1. doing pre med there / a level here ...which is better?
2. is there any HIDDEN cost there? From russian resources i know that the 6academic years+hostel+premed is like 190++k... just how much i need to "spare" if any just-in-case cases happen? or if u're one of the students there, care to tell me just roughly how much u spent?
3. how's the quality [academic and life] there?
4. i heard they've got bribery there.. like ppl actually buy the degree from russia....is it true?
5. is the language a fuss?

i gues thats all... if u've got any emails i can contact to ask about these questions, please don hesitate to give me.... i really need to do a "survey" with the students over there.. i simply couldnt afford to have any huge miscalculations... THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

i am studying here..at russia...mma...i can assure you there are no things such as that here........no bribery....and dont wory you cant buy a med degree even if you have all the money in the world...as for language....if you take english medium...you will be studying in english...but you will study russian language so that you can buy stuffs like that....and you will be learning clinical and anatomical terms in latin...which means you wont need the med dictionary as much as other med students...things here as ok not that bad as people say...moscow is a big modern city...on shld come and c with their own eye

Are you sure? Are you really sure? Not many M'sians actually indulge in this bribery thing but it exists. The good news is that, this practice is no longer wide-spread since most M'sians are hardworking.

if you take english medium...you will be studying in english...but you will study russian language so that you can buy stuffs like that

Eh? I thought some of your final exams will be in Russian? What about your government-exam for general medicine in final year?

and you will be learning clinical and anatomical terms in latin...which means you wont need the med dictionary as much as other med students

What? Why don't you need med dictionaries?

things here as ok not that bad as people say...moscow is a big modern city...on shld come and c with their own eye

Modern? I'll let you choose another word.

Have you even BEEN to Moscow?

It's modern in terms of technology, sure, everyone lives in appartments but many of those appartments are VERY nice from the inside. You can buy ANYTHING you like there and the prices rival places like the UK - they also have mainly British/American shops and food.

MANY people speak English as well. Russia would be a good, not to mention cost-effective choice. I suggest you visit the city (if it's not too expensive) before.

Oh yeah and if you like this sort of thing, the clubs are excellent, drinks are cheap (I tried EVERY cocktail on a particular menu) and people there are very hospitable.

any diff between student getting in wit pre-med, foundation, stpm and a lvl.
2. Is the weather really that extreme tat ppl constantly fall sick?
3. I will be staying in a hostel that requires 30-45 train ride. Is tis ok and bearable?
4. is it hard to pick up russian?
