So iQing, what is your interest? Perhaps your expertise may help others or under grad in pursuing their degree or higher. Most of us will be very delighted to hear from you.

Frankly, I'm a Mechanical Engineer but involved in embedded system design projects and retailer e-Commerce (A B2C but different marketing channels). It does not matter what you've studied but most important is the immediate/future ROI in any venture.

I am a mechanical engineering student too.
If I have never get JPA scholarship, maybe I am doing eCommerce now under the support of INTIMAL.

I do not venture into eCommerce because Malaysians are not ready for it.
They will be ready for it only in the very far future. so B2C is risky and not worth trying.

I plan not to become an engineer after graduate.

The e-commerce isn't limited to Malaysia, it's the marketing and business concept that help to promote the success story of each individual e-enterprise business.

Engineering is a good field however, the combination of multiple knowledge of associated engineering sector will enhance the competitiveness of each field.

Yes, Mechanical engineering will not work if without electrical and electronic systems. And with the current convergence of ICT into Mech & Elec system, it has complicated the system and therefore, limited to a single field in now a days may not help to promote each individual to the market.

The beauty of Internet is that it brings and pulls the worldwide resource into a single entity. If we can make full use of it into our career advancement as we're doing now (but still lack of actual action), it'll benefited to building our country to reach the goal of 2020 (sounds familiar).

I'm not preaching here but a person of sharing of know-how and building WYWIWYD (what you want is what you do unlike WYSIWYG?).
