Hi fellow ReComers,

After E-learning in ReCom has been introduced since long ago, I have only seen faint interest among ReCom members to utilize it.

Currently, we have pretty extensive online open source lecture notes from quite a lot of universities, be it from MIT, Caltech, Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, Michigan, Illinois, USC etc. Just go to e-learning section and check it out!

If you have found some more open source lecture notes from your universities, please let me know and I will add it in!

I think one of the main benefits of the e-learning is that say you are taking a Circuit course in Cornell and you don't really understand your Professor's teaching, you could always go to other universities' circuit course and check out the notes or even assignments!

This e-learning will also be useful if you just want to learn some extra stuff! Currently most of our collections are in engineering, but those from MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Cornell are pretty full-fledged. I will try my best to increase our collections once I get back to US!

It would be great if those who have used e-learning section to share with us, how you think of it? How to improve it? And if you find it useful, please let us know! If you find any particular course lecture notes are good, share it in this thread!

Thanks topdog for checking it out! How do you think of it? How about others? Have you guys checked it out? If not, please do so, and share with us any feedback/comment/suggestion/idea, basically anything and we would be extremely grateful to you~!

Together lets make ReCom even better~!

Really hope to hear more responses from people about e-learning?

How many people actually use it? What do people think of it? Is it good? Useful? How could we improve it? The e-learning was there since November, and I have spent many hours trying to find links to put there, but I guess it is very under-utilized.

So, I really hope for opinion on how to improve it~! What are the kind of courses that people would be more interested? Currently, what I found are mainly engineering. I really need everyone's help to find more course weblinks.

Thanks!!!

chenchow:

i'm working on some tutorial module.

i think the e-learning can include tutorial then + the links that already exist as referrence.

What do you think?

Good~!

How is it exactly is the Tutorial Module? Is it somewhere where anyone can ask question about anything they face in the studies of those topic or? May be you can give a little bit more clarification.

But anyhow, it is an added feature, so definitely it is for the better right? Thanks!

it's just tutorial, ppl cannot participate. It's designed that way so that ppl dont interfere with the tutorial's flow.

if they have any questions, they can ask at forum.

it contains pages of how to's on several different thing. From now, i think there are some on computer parts.

Anyway, members are allowed to submit their tutorial as well.

As usual, it'll be pages of how to's, and not forum like page.
