PS2 vs. Xbox

i LOVE PS2. i dont play a lot of PS2 games cause I got to get use to console still. i love ps2 cause of its simple system, the easy-to-handle controller and variety of games. i've played xbox before and i dont really like it cause its hard to hold the gigantus controller (since i'm a girl with small hands). but the system is nice.

i just want to know what u guys think, which one u prefer and why. i know there must be at least another PS 2 fanatic out there. also, what's the best game u ever play so far? i've played a few and my best is prince of persia 1.. 8)

Damnit... people actually still play Playstation 2? Anyways i never actually played Xbox that much. Just few times when i was at my friends place and this was awhile ago.

From what i could remember both of these consoles are about at the same level in term of sound,graphic processing, although Xbox specifications are better.

But it is the Game titles that are available to Playstation that made it a hit. I still remembered palying the first arcade-perfect Driving-Simulation Ridge racer on my PS back in 1994. I think the backward compability that PS2 has also made the huge fan base it already has to just upgrade to play the newer games.

Gamepads can always be replaced. you can get a PS2 gamepad for xbox if you really wanted to.

So what im saying is if your a PS fan you'll always be a PS fan. Xbox will always be an Xbox fan.

Reminds me of the golden era of Super Nintendo (famicom) Vs. Sega Genesis (Megadrive).

I have a PS 2 and an Xbox. As far as games are concerned, I like all the game selections on the PS2. However, i like playing Halo 2(the only game that saved the Xbox from being a total failure) and so i got an Xbox as well. My take is, the PS2 has a larger selection of games. if you are a Halo fan, then it may be worth it to get the Xbox, otherwise, sticking with the PS is the best choice.

yeah, PS2 is better. but what about the new PSP? do you think its going to take over PS2/PS3 fan in the future? personally, PSP is better than other portable music player cause it's all in 1. but, its kind of bulky, the screen easily smudges, batt dont last longer and its kind of fragile. PS3 looks good to me, better than the new gamecube. but we'll see..

Halo wasn't the only game that saved the Xbox. There are some other games that have contributed to Xbox's fan base. Most of them are from the Ubisoft productions, the Splinter Cell series to be exact.

PS2 owns XboX? I dont think so. PS2 is Sony's, XBOX is Micorsoft's. So far, critiques have agreed that performance-wise, XBOX 360 is better than PS3

Design-wise, XBOX 360 also looks better, in my opinion. I'm not a PS3 fanatic, and changing from one console to another is fine based on its performance, quality, price and long-term benefit like games available, games format compatibility, etc. but we'll see..

They even made cool games for it, such as Resident Evil 4(or was it 5?), the remake of Final Fantasy 7, with some alteration(i.e, the new Cloud Strife apperance) and lots more!!
