All of you who have been complaining about the lack of opportunities for Malaysian writers? Everyone of you who has been complaining about the decline of English in Malaysia? Everyone who complains about how Malaysia politics/ economy/ government/ education absolutely sucks, and there's nothing you can do about it?

Here's how you can do something about it - by supporting the Malaysian writing community...

Some friends and I created inkyhands magazine (http://www.inkyhands.net), an online Malaysian litmag which features fiction and creative non-fiction writing, and "hopes to showcase the best that Malaysian writers (of ages 14-24) has to offer."

We have a temporary website up for everyone to submit their work online.

Meanwhile, though, we really need (read: desperate for) submissions for our first issue, which is scheduled to be published in early December 2005. Quick, sift through the Word documents on your computer, and choose the best ones..

Submit something to InkyHands (http://www.inkyhands.net)! Or if you don't write "fiction or creative non-fiction" (which is what we publish), or if you are too busy with NaNoWriMo, or if you are too busy with SPMlink us to your blog. Post an entry dedicated entirely to InkyHands. (http://www.inkyhands.net)

Even got cute banner for linking purposes!!! what more do you need?

The banner is hosted at: http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/489/inkyhands4rz.gif (http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/489/inkyhands4rz.gif)
Thanks for your support!

here's a suggestion :
when this thing grows.... try to get media support and make it into hardcopies....
for time being it is best to gain affiliation with other websites and groups.
well done :D

Not to be a party pooper, but this seems oddly reminiscent of theCicak.

Anyway, can I submit stuff I've written but that has already been published elsewhere (i.e. my blog)?

no, the cicak deals with mostly political/opinion pieces. inkyhands is a literary magazine--creative writing, mostly. yes, you may submit stuff that you have published somewhere. we accept creative fiction and non-fiction. (but no poetry please!)

submission guidelines:

iqing: thanks, we're trying. =)
