The Center for International Studies and the Southeast Asian Studies Program at Ohio University are pleased to announce the arrival of our 12th Tun Abdul Razak Distinguished Professor Dato? Mohamad Abu Bakar from the Department of International and Strategic Studies at the University of Malaya. A former Assistant Secretary in the Malaysian Prime Minister?s Department and Associate Dean at his home institution, his academic specialty is SEA regionalism, contemporary Islam, and globalization.
The term of Dato? Mohamad?s appointment extends through June 2007. He is available for speaking engagements and participation in conferences in the United States during his tenure at Ohio U.
