I am just wondering if a cancer patient could donate his organs. Say, if a lung-cancer patient wants to have his heart pledged, can he do so if it has been confirmed that no other part of his vitals are affected by cancer cells?

Can I donate anything if I have cancer?
You may be able to donate organs, depending on the type of cancer and whether or not it is currently in remission. If the cancer is not blood-borne or has not progressed to the eye, cornea donation is an option. If it is a blood-borne cancer or the cancer has progressed to the eye, corneas may be donated for research purposes.
