in terms of practical knowledge,
it is not the parapsychological characteristics that are important...
It is how they affect our society.
Let's put aside the new age and paranormal stuffs and see them from secular point of view....
Many children born after 1980 show unorthodox behaviors and social patterns that have not been documented before. These children have special need and they have to be treated and educated in special ways...
This gain the attention of experts of various fields like socialogists, psychologists etc.
some of these fields have recognised indigo children.
Indigo children are either nice children or little devils. They cannot fit into orthodox way of learning in school and often they act weirdly, which makes people think that they are kinda weird. They have weird interests but they are very intelligent in certain fields.
In terms of socialising,
they are either very popular or they are very lonely, or both.
Sometimes indigo children have the tendancy to commit suicide. They need special care-
These children are indeed interesting people....
In terms of paranormal explaination,
these children are literally advent children (I think the FF7 movie is inspired by indigo children)
btw, you do not need to have indigo aura to be an indigo child. Indigo simply refer to the higher band of light spectrum, which is related to higher emotions like love and compassion-

That description on Wikipedia sort of fits me, but I guess sort of isn't good enough. The proliferation of ADD and ADHD diagnoses is odd, though. I'm just not sure the answer is in pseudoscientific stuff like this.
On a less serious note, something is wrong with kids born in '92. They're a lot less mature than they should be. Or at least the ones in my former school. :?

being born nowadays does not automatically makes you and indigo children
IMO indigo children might be an agenda... possibly it is true that parents would prefer to say that their kids are indigos rather than admitting that they have problems. Kids should be treated equally with love.... everyone born into this world should learn to adapt and not being spoilt..
hmm..
seeing it from pseudoscientific perspective,
I find it weird because they seem to be ego base
ego and spiritual advancement do not go togather so....
