Applications for 2007/2008 entry to the UK's medical schools are just around the corner.
Have you decided on which university to go to?
If yes, why? I'd really like to know about what's really special about certain medical schools, e.g. Edinburgh, Cambridge, Liverpool, Southampton...
The interview process seems intimidating too, since these medical schools will be scrutinising every potential candidate before they give out offers.
Come on ya'al! Let's gather our thoughts here!
Have you considered other countries besides the UK? You'll be kicked out as soon as you finish your studies there. Spending RM1M on a medical degree and not being able to train there is not a good investment.

The thing is, I'm under JPA to study medicine in the UK.
So, I guess it's better to make use of it =)
If everything goes wrong and I don't get a place in any of those universities, I can still choose to go to Ireland, Australia, or any country where the costs are cheaper.
Oh, then it's ok. Aim for the best.

i applied to cambridge cause they have this mb phd thing where if u get first class every year for the first three years, u stand a chance to be chosen to do this programme where u'll get an mb and a phd after 8 years... This is especially for people who aspire to be lecturers or researchers..
same goes for ucl. and also if u go to ucl, u can apply to go to cambridge, oxford or imperial to do ur clinical years. though its competitive, duh!! same thing if u did ur first three years on oxbridge/imperial, u can go to either one of the four unis to do ur clinical studies..

I dont think you get to actually choose...lol
even the uk, if youre applying under UCAS and you get a few offers, it hink you will need to get their approval for your choice...which may not alwas be the case...
do double check just in case patrick
