I can feel your pain... it's always like that, nobody can remember every single detail in medicine, everyone will always forget stuff that they ought to remember.
When you study medicine, I guess the most important thing is to separate the main point from the details... During the lectures, normally we always feel that we are bombarded with millions of details that is too much, but if you really sit down and analyze them, the main point that we have to know is really not that many. So it's best if you can try to adopt a "memorise the important stuff only" style, but if you can't, you can always find someone who to tutor you. Most often than not, by having a discussion partner, you will more likely to find out what's the gist of a particular topic.
I am writing in very broad term now, because I don't know in which particular topics you are feeling lost... but no matter what, I feel that medicine should not kill one's life in university. Reduce social opportunities, yes; but not eliminating.

Eerm, I am kinda bad in the muscles too.. Just too lazy to memorise them. For me the most important thing is to find out the meaning behind the names, for example, peroneus longus really means "long pin", cribiform / cribosa really means "look like sieve" etc.
Also, look for mnemonics that help you remember better... You can find a lot of good ones at http://www.medicalmnemonics.com (I recommend you to download the full list in pdf for future reference). There are some famous ones (I am sure you would have heard it in your tutorials or somewhere) like the infamous cranial nerves, carpal bones etc. There are also some not-so-famous ones, like the arrangement of nerves in the cavernous sinus, nerves that do/don't pass through the supraorbital fissure etc.
