More and more companies are starting to ride on this new wave here in the states. Beverages for one. Hawaii is also producing now. THose who live here, might already bumped into those trying to sell you some mangosteen juice.. or even asking you to join them selling it (multi level marketing.. hate them more then jehovah witness)

Malaysia with few other South east asian cultivators (if there are any?) might make a fortune here.

As a side note, a mangosteen tree takes 15 years to mature enough to bare fruits. Importing Mangosteen to the US is not permitted yet.

and a little news story:http://www.theadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060923/LIFESTYLE/609230308/1024

well maybe not a news link.. but something close.

Yeah, that X*ngo thing... people see mangosteen juices like some kind of miracle potion or something.. more like overpriced bottled juice to me..
