Change position of notification popup window

I have a problem with the positioning notification popups on my computer.

(it's those popups which appear on the lower right of your screen when e.g. a person on your contact list is online).

the notification popup is appearing on the center of my screen instead. I would like it being back at the lower right of the screen.

However, the 2nd popup is on the lower right albeit higher.

My question is, does any of you know where can I tweak it? It doesn't matter if it's in the registry or otherwise. I'm an experienced enough user.

I'm sorry I have no idea when it started to act this way. It is also not software specific as other software such as Spybot's notification appears in the middle as well.

A little about my computer:

XP MCE 2005
1900x1200 resolution

Don't really know the answer here... Is 1900x1200 the native resolution of the LCD screen?

try disable your copy of windows skinning application and see if it still acts up... if not, try clean your your registry using third party registry cleaners... one good one will be CCleaner... see if that works...

But it didn't work. I reverted windows back to the original visual style and still no dice. Did a clean too.

The native resolution of my monitor is 1920x1200.

It used to be alright but I can't be sure what I did that made it this way.

Anyone know the registry key to change the position of notification window?

nope... i don't think there is a registry key causing random pop-up places for notification windows...

you just bought your new monitor?

Nope, I meant the registry key to change the position of popup notification windows to the lower right corner.

The appearance of the popup is also not random. Only appears in the center of the screen. I myself don't think there is a random value for that key.

I think the registry value is somehow changed to center of the screen.

The monitor is my laptop display. It came with the laptop.

don't think so...never seen any keys corresponding to the area where the pop-up windows appears... Try resetting your laptop to it's original state...
