I hope that there will be ReCom members who will be willing to come here and share at least one Mandarin Word per day for those who are hoping to learn Mandarin from basic to learn it here~!
I would start with Wo3 , which means "I". Can someone who can type Mandarin to type it up here! Thanks.
If anyone who wishes to learn any word in Mandarin, just share with us the word in BM or English and we will share the Chinese words.
Happy Learning~!
Thanks Schye for the suggestions!

why my mandarin characters doesn't work...!
grrrr. :(
?O?O?O?O?O
Hmm, this is really weird.
If I change the "Text Encoding " to Big 5, then only it would translate the decode the chinese chars.
Otherwise, it doesn't work.

Chiun Lin, are you using NJ Star too? Hmm... somehow, some chinese characters appear to be tiny, unless i edit it manually. You know how to fix the prob?

风了 - cuckoo
啊呀! - Aiyah!
疯 is the correct word for going cuckoo,风 stands for wind
啊呀 is an instance of onomatopoeia in Chinese.

Oops... When i heard they say feng1 le, i always thought "u wind liao", so i thought that means cuckoo

yeah, the phonetic symbol should be at "u", the latter alphabet.
Here is the little "riddle" thingy we memorise since the first lesson of hanyupinyin.
有 a 不放过,
无a 找 o e,
i u 并排 标在后,
单个韵母不必说.

Hi,
I add some words:
尴尬 / gan1 ' ga4 = embarassed
感觉 / gan3 jue2 = feeling
e.g. 我感觉累了。 wo3 gan3 jue2 lei2 le. = I feel very tired.
干 /gan1 , literally means "dry" But has several combinations:
干爸 /gan1 ba4:god father
干杯/ gan1 bei1: cheers. e.g. 为陈先生干杯!wei4 chen1 xian1 sheng1 gan1 bei1 ! = Toast for mr Chen !
干can also means "do."
你干吗? / ni3 gan1 ma? (colloquial speech). Means "What are you doing?"
干巴!/ gan1 ba! = Go ahead!
Happy learning!
