Well, I have a lot of friends taking Engineering there. I heard from them the reputation is so-so and there's a very serious grade-inflation problem. Quite a number of teachers are not exactly qualified as well.

What is so wrong with khrams and bewbies?

You do not have a khram? Or do you have a khram and a a pair of bewbies?Or do you have no khram and no bewbies?

i've been to that uni branch in Miri before.. the environment looks okay to me, in fact better than some local uni.

Quality of education not that sure but one of my friend turned down a full engineering scholarship in curtin to take up medic in indon =)

Hello..

Is Curtin good for Applied Geology or any other engineering courses?
I have checked at this website, www.interactive.jpa.gov.my, B.Sc. applied geology is not in the list of qualification. But, this course is recognized by Australia. I need your opinion on this.

Can a graduate work in overseas with the degree earned?
How about the employment rate of the graduates?

I am from Miri and I would like to inform you guys that while Miri city is a great place with shopping malls and tourist attractions, Curtin University is in the middle of nowhere (far away from the city centre) and you would get really bored of the food there because of the lack of eating places in that area. I have friends who take the bus (at least 30 minutes) to the city centre just to go shopping and have a decent meal. Generally, even many Miri city dwellers choose to study at Curtin University only as a last resort (can't get the JPA scholarship, can't get into overseas unis, can't get into local government unis). I therefore don't really recommend this place for your tertiary education to be honest. Well, this is my frank opinion, and I know about this uni through my 2 cousins studying there in Curtin.
