yes, but your chances of getting it would be a little slimmer. However, if you have a big family rm3k might not be so big. I'd give it a shot if i was you.

It is only open for those with STPM/A Level/Matriculation qualifications.

Me+ my fred have pass into the 3rd round interview.
However, the interviewer drop the bomb at the last moment.
She said shell will not be sponsering ppl to overseas studies this year. YET, THEY CLAIM TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENT TO STUDY OVERSEAS WHEN THEY PUBLISH THEIR SCHOLARSHIP ARTICLE IN THE NEWSPAPERs.

Unfortunately,Me + my fred have applied for overseas sponsorship.
Its weird that suddenly they tell us there is no scholarship for overseas studies, and still ASK US TO GO FOR INTERVIEW.
ITS A WARNING THAT MOST INSTITUTIONS DO NOT REALLY MEAN WAT THEY SAY WHEN ESPECIALY REGARDING OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIPS.

Well.. Me + my friend received an email and a personal call from them stating that shell sponsors overseas and we're invited for the final interview (after 2 telephone interviews)

I'm not sure for your case, but we both are Sarawakians, while my friend's dad works for Shell (not mine tho)

no... there are many factors involved in selecting of scholars, and whilst offers from top universities might give u an edge, the selection is not entirely based on that. in fact it doesnt carry such heavy weightage.
