Here's my SPM results:

BM 3P
BI 6P
Agama A2
Sejarah 6P
Math 8S
Few more 8S and one 9F

I ofcourse had been persuaded by my parents to get my SPM paper remarked when they saw it. Me, on the other hand didn't actually want to spend another RM50 for each paper to be remarked so we let it be.

My theory is, the marker assumed i was from the last class (i had the last angka giliran) and took my examination at a school which is "blacklisted" school in the Pudu area. So thats what you get.. some random Grades. I was honestly a little upset but i got over it quick since it won't serve me any purpose.

However for these students (read here: http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2004/3/13/nation/7505295&sec=nation ) Is apparently victims of the Examination board.

I have heard so many horror stories when it comes to National exams grades.

I know for a fact that My Ex-high school sent few students spm papers to be remarked and when they got the result.. they were more then surprised to find out that they recieved a straight As SPM result for one of their student.

The spoiler is, the student didn't even sat for SPM. He died in a car crash few weeks before SPM took place.

So how accurate and how often does these thing happen? Even if it is a remote mistake, It is still there. How many devastated students wants to wait for 2-4 months? I don't think they even notify UPU,etc when it comes to errors like this. I'm pretty sure many of them will miss the oppurtunity to futher their studies to Local Universities. Those who can't afford private colleges will simply start working in Mickey D.

If the number of Straigt As students increase every year. I'm damn sure the number of errors will multiply as well. The exact figure? only the Board knows.

Those poor kids would feel a huge let down by the system we currently have.

One more reason to let SPM go.

Edit: name of the school. Avoiding any defamation Law suit :D

well, supposedly, the graders do not know your school. all they have is your angka giliran. one can only tell your state, not your school, from that angka giliran.

when did you take spm?

It's not that interesting. It was more like my dad chose the course of my younger years. It truly stinks to be working at such a young age. I feel used.

Anyway for your question. Yes. just for SPM. mother forced me to do it.

Also, My dad a CT State Professor, enrolled me in one of those High school+college program. So when i entered College full time i had only about 2 1/2 years left.. thats including Summer semesters.

It was fun because i was young and mixing with people a little older then me was great.. but i missed out a lot especially on the girl department.

I wish i just went to some stae University and had partied my way through college like a normal person would do.

Working 45-55 hours a week is not fun.:( Interesting?

Thirdshifter, i can't believe what you'd said!!! Really? But, like what they said, the markers only have your angka giliran... nothing else... how could that be? If I were you, i would just spend RM50 each subject to let the testpapers be marked again. It's worth, right? Who knows, there may be another top scorer! *sigh*

Allow me to say something, in our school, the difference between the bumis and non-bumis is so obvious... i.e. in the PMR examination last year, 68 students scored straight As...all from non-bumis students... We can hardly get a bumi students getting even 4 As or more.... I hope that you people will not think that raising up this issue is a discrimination...but perhaps we can find ways to help the bumis...which are spoon-fed all the time... Wish Malaysia a better tomorrow! :D

dont blame it on the race, honey
but blame it on the education system of our country. After all, they're more concerned w the As dat our students are getting, not who gets em

But I don't think any tiniest aspect of our education system is of disadvantage to our bumi students. Yes, in fact A doesn't mean a thing more than an A, and I personally agree that many Malay students really make better students (in terms of decency, psychological and mental development); however, when it comes to results alone, I don't see the point of blaming the education system for the bumis not doing well.

HELP! I sat for my SPM in 2009 and sent my Literature in English (LIE) paper for remark due to unsatisfactory results. However, until now I have not received any letters from the Education Ministry. While reading the Star today, there is a letter in the Education segment saying that a fellow student has already received his re-examined results in the middle of April. He took the SPM last year too and if he already received his re-examined results, then where are mine? It's been so long and I'm still waiting for it.

My friend had her SPM 2009 Biology paper remarked, and she got an A instead of C+. And the result was out when scholarships application have been closed. How ironic.

Hi I called Lembaga Peperiksaan today for the result of my 'SPM Semakan Semula'. They took my IC number and checked and later told me that it is still not finallized yet. According to him, I should get my result latest by early next week and possibly by this Friday, 14 May 2010. For those who want to call Lembaga Peperiksaan to check, this is the number to call, 03-88843582. The officer took less than a minute to check after getting my IC number.
