Some of us might have read some of my post about the idea of flying cars.

Just now, I found that someone made it already. It's pretty cool.
I think that it would nice if we can fly while driving.
But of course, it would be a real headache for the Dept of Transportation.

But check out this :

and see what do you think about the future of flying car.

i hate to be aparty pooper but, i saw that video clip 2 or 3 years ago. I assume not much progress on interest is being given to it.

A great project never the less.

I heard of future flying car befire.

I think with the flying car, the driver destination and the computer will drive the car. I think that the system is GPS (Global Positioning System) if I am not mistaken. I have done some review on the car for my introduction in engineering class before. I think that the concept is very good and will speed up the future transportation system.

Besides that, I have a question to ask. With the flying car, we still need to travel the long distance right?
So, I would like to know that whether it is possible to create a transportation that no need to travel to distance. What I mean is that we use teleportation or whatever? Is that type of transportation possible. I am really interested on that. Hopefully, someone will invent that and we no need to travel anymore!!

teleportation is still a science fiction till now.
Although I can't deny that there would eventually be a teleportation machine that can replicate/send us to somewhere else in no time, it's still a far-fetched idea.

these links might interest you:

http://travel.howstuffworks.com/teleportation.htm

I think rather than transporting the physical body, I would imagine that the machine can transport the original 'image' of human body to the other location. THis might mean, following the principal of fax machine, but reconstruct human body with holographic technology.

This is more realistic(or rather, less controversial) than making the exact human body or reconstruct the duplicates of someone.

Anyway, back to the flying cars.
The idea of flying car, indeed , is not new. The company I mentioned above has been building that car since 1983. But, recently, they released the prototype to the public, however, they can't guarantee that that car can be 100% functional.

But the future seems promising. The company (moller Int. ) claims that the dept. of Transportation and others has shown more and more interest in this vehicle.

Anyway, I still believe I can 'fly' ;-)

For "flying traffic" to be feasible, there must be a significant development in air traffic control. Remember, controlling airborne traffic is not the same as controlling aircrafts in airports. We're talking about thousands of vehicles flying at just a few meters from each other in limited space. Preventive measures in midair collision as well as automated manuever must be fully reliable.

well...good news for flying cars fans..there's one flying car out now...it's a real car already but as personal collection, not for sales though. the article and the photos are posted on www.popularmechanics.com not sure of exact link but can search for"flying cars" and you can find it....hehe...impressive... 8)
