Hi ! I get KMK ... i hv some questions ...
1) izit that we mz wear t-shirt with collar when we play sport games ?? i heard somebody said so b4 ...
2) there r 3 types of cocurricular activities --- unifrom , club or game ....
so , we jz need 2 choose any type of these 3 ?
3) n i heard that we can only choose which type of cocu that we 1 ... let's say ... i like games ... n i like badminton ... but whether i can participate badminton or not is dpend on d matrik authority ... i could fill in d form by saying that i 1 games , but they might give me tennis ... it means that they 'll simply distribute any activity due 2 d type that u'd chosen ... u can choose d type that u 1 , but not d activity ... izit true ?

my answer:
1) yes, must wear tshirt with collar, but that is at the beginning period of the sem, later on ppl normally won't bother about it.
2 & 3) there'r 3 types of cocurricular activities: kelab sukan, kelab persatuan, kawad kaki.
These are included in your academic subjects list. You'll be taking it for a semester only. Say for kmm, for the first sem, biology students will need to take this subject, while, physics n account students will take it in the next sem. Don't have to really worry about this, it's not important, as long as you got good attendance, that's already enuf, perlu lulus sahaja. well, you may choose either one of the choices, whether you want kelab sukan, kelab persatuan or kawad kaki during the cocurriccular registration day. u'll be informed about the date later after u enrolled. Normally people will choose kelab sukan because it is more interesting, second kelab persatuan n lastly kawad kaki (the worst one). Only certain amount of ppl are allowed to join each. For instance, there's 1000 students, only 30% get kelab sukan, 50% get kelab persatuan n 20% get kawad kaki (the % is just an example). All is based on first come, first serve during the coccu registration day.
In each kelab, students will be divided into several classes which consists of about 30 students. Each kelab with a coccu lecturer.
For kelab sukan, it is up to the lecturer to teach u any kind of sports.
For kelab persatuan, normally u'll learn sumthing like how to manage a persatuan, pengerusi harus buat apa, setiausaha buat apa, kind of boring. then, go on with anykind of activities that you like to do, as long as everyone in the kelab agrees. Eg, selling stuffs to raise fund, organizing karnival, mini theather, etc... any kind.
For kawad kaki, haha, this is the worst. you'll need to stand under the sun and practice marching. Physically tiring.
One thing to clarify, coccu at matriks is totally different from school. At school, there's already club formed, eg, kelab sains n maths... n you just need to join those clubs. BUT, in matriks, there's no such club. if you'll like to found a club by your own, get at least 25 ppl and submit your proposal to form a club, say kelab cinematography.
However, don't worry if you'r not the founder of any of the clubs. You can still be involve in coccu without going tru clubs. Get a group of people, and you can simply organise events like carnivals, exhibitions, competitions, tournaments... etc...but with proposal. Say in kmm, we got a group of non-muslim organising a mid autumn festival event. There's no such club like "kelab non-muslim", but still, you can get involve. Who knows? if you r popular enuf, you may be the project manager?! hehe
Well, mostly, matriks got 3 major organization that are already formed. The Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Pelajar, JPP (something like MPPU in form6 or student's council, candidates will have to undergo manisfesto n pilihanraya); Pembimbing Rakan Dinamik, PRD (something like PRS in school, have to go tru interview) and Nadiah T'biah Pelajar, NTP ( this is religious based, it is the ajk surau). Well, good coccu marks will be given to members of these organizations, even better if you got the main posts.
n, if you wanna be involved in competitions at national level, the only way is through KAKOM. Sumthing like sukan, but not olahraga. it comprises many events, eg tennis, basketball, badminton, pingpong, seni kebudayaan(singing n dancing), pidato bm, debate, kawad kaki..etc.
Don't worry about your performance in coccu. you'll be given a lot of chance to be involve in coccu activities, in the sake of getting certs . hhaaha , rite?
from,
yilian.
