Mmmm... it is not advisable to watch this movie.... seriously... almost the whole class doze off at the very beginning of the movie.. The story just seems to go on forever withouht ending... u will really get sick of his talking to everything he sees..... Phew~ fortunately my class had watched this movie... almost every class sighed when they knew that they were going to watch this movie,.. Hehehe... hope the lecturers wont see this msg !!! just my opinion... no offense ya !!! it is still a ACADEMIC AWARD winning movie though... perhaps it is suitable for those who loves Classic.. and i mean really Classic ! hehee...

:?: Erm..i think u watched the different version .... in the movie we watched for American Cultural Studies... most of the setting was the sea, the man and the fishing rod...and him talking to himself....
Oh!.....and when i looked up on the book version, i discovered that the narrator in the movie read every single word of the book!!! so doesnt make much difference between reading and watching :lol:

then again... it is quite heart wrenching when the fish was eaten in the end by the sharks...haih.... :cry:
