Refer to the topic itself, the successful JPA appeal has put me into a deep deep dillema, dudes i need you all's informations, opinions and suggestions asap

Petronas scholarship vs JPA scholarship:
1)Bonding (Petronas - 10 years bonding/convert into loan ; JPA's unknown yet)
2)Offers and allowances (Petronas - full tuition & living fee with allowances approximately RM6950 per year; JPA's unknown yet)

Local UTP vs US:
1)ICT education at both sides

Anyone can enlighten me with the points above?

The decision is up to you to make. If you think US suits you, then opt for JPA and vice versa. Points that you need to take into accounts are:
1. the environment at both sides
2. are you a risk taker (if you choose JPA) bcoz you need to work
hard with your application into top unis
3. compare the pros and cons of our education system and theirs
4. the bond.. It appears that you will be bonded for 6 years for JPA
5. ask yourself what u really want
6. also ask yourself what else can be taken into account

These are a few points that you should consider before making a big decision.. In my opinion, I prefer the JPA offer, but it is really up to you to choose. Do consult a lecturer or an education counselor if you still can't make your decision. I really hope that you will crack your brain and make the right decision!!!!

For the environment element, no problem here locally  US, there's no way i can figure it out, need information from US recommers.

Academically i would say i do have some brain, but definitely not that kind of so-called top students with 90+ average in their exams sigh~

Actually my main concerns are JPA's offers.. ICT education/unis in JPA list, JPA's terms & conditions, allowances as well as JPA's rights on my future career. Would love to hear from any ex-JPA ICT recommer for now, as i think the arrival of official letter gonna have some delay to Sarawak here, before the reply date - 4th June

To simplify, it's scholarship vs scholarship:
Foundation + degree in ICT at UTP (University Technology PETRONAS) Perak or
ADP at INTI Nilai + degree in US Uni (the best i can get in)

JPA. if you're willling to work hard, a degree from a good US U will promise you better prospects in work after you finish your bond. it's eventually your decision, though. good luck, no matter what you choose.

Unless you have some unusual circumstances (e.g. need to be close to family etc.) then you should take up the JPA offer. In general, always choose the most challenging option that you can handle. What exact course did you get? There's no such course as "ICT" in US, it's either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and the likes of it.

It's good to do more research before you do your soul searching.

hey firstly, congrats for your jpa scholarship appeal!

i think you should take jpa scholarship. if i'm not wrong, jpa also give allowance. jpa's much better than petronas. it even has a shorter bond!

i suggest u take up jpa. u would have a brighter future in us. unless of course, as jiinjoo said, u have problems, like family problems.

seriously, go for jpa! ^^
