I just registered myself last Sunday for foundation program (medicine) at Univ Sains Islam in Nilai. There were 216 of foundation students, with 30 for medicine.
And just when I thot I can settle down peacefully after being rejected by Petronas and MARA, I received a letter from Petronas yesterday. I am offered a place at UTP in BIS under MARA sponsorship, not under Petronas. I understand that the monthly allowance is much less than what Petronas gives (RM270 vs 500). I am supposed to answer by June 18, and registration is on July 16, 2007.
I am now deeply torn between the two options.
In USIM, I am taking Foundation in Medicine. Its a 1+6 yrs program of study. The university is new and not that big. Not many people even know it.
On the other hand, I am given a seat in BIS at UTP. Of course the university is great with many facilities.
I really do not know which one I should consider. Both careers are ok with me, and I don't think I am that greatly committed to study medicine, neither in BIS.
Appreciate if you can offer me some advices, pls. Its helluva predicament for me.
thanks
