i was just wondering the other day about this.i realize that when it comes to nominating a lady for a job, usually people would point fingers at a tall lady or someone talkative. people rarely choose someone petite or less talkative. are these women seen as not capable of being a leader? :?

First of all, to talk about this issue, we must know the characteristic of the leader. A leader must be confident in his or her decision. He must be forceful and able to convince people about his ability.
He must be able to lead a group of people. So, to convince people, you must be able to speak out loud!
So about ur question, some one who is "petite or less talkative" will less likely to be chosen as leader. This is not only happen to women, but it happens to every one! :P

hmm..true :? .let me give an example..we don't have as much people as in a university so people keep on choosing the same people to do a job. but once when we nominated some else to be leader, people assumed that we were playing around although we knew that that person could do the job. but in my opinion I think that everyone should be given a chance (a least once) to lead either that person is short or fat or quiet. the thing is that appearance usually plays a role in most people's choice. some people would pick someone pretty over someone ugly, right?

Perhaps talkative people are seen as more confident and approachable? But then again, these people might just know how to talk but are hopeless in handling a job.

well this quotation is cliched la....but anyway i still think what really makes a leader is not outward appearance...juz look at philipines president....gloria arroyo....she not really tall wat...but she speaks out rite!! haha.....summore...malaysian women leaders not really tall also wat...but they are good.....so....doesnt matter....

of course... to be a leader... u need to voice out for urself and for the people....
look at women leaders(ex leaders) like Arroyo, Megawati, Aung San Suu Kyi, Madeleine Albright....

i think you guys are getting her wrong. I think what she means is, are quiet ppl being thought as incapable of being a leader that most ppl won;t elect them for important jobs, rather they'd pick the more "vocal" ppl for such posts (as presidents etc)
is it, miraclesnfantasy? :?
