Hi, The Anime Society of Tyor's College will be organising an Anime Fest. We welcome people to participte in our cosplay, karaoke, fanart, and PS2 contest, as well as everyone who is interested to watch. There will also be booths from Animetech, Borders, etc etc etc...Details are as follows:
Venue:MPH Hall Taylor's University College, Main Campus, Subang Jaya
Date : 30/06/2007(Saturday)
Time : 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Entrance Fee: RM5 per Entry
Address: Taylor's University College Main Campus
No. 1, Jalan SS 15/8, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

10:30 - 11:00 a.m. - Opening ceremony
11:00 - 12:30 p.m. - Anime Music Video Show
12:30 - 2:00 p.m. - Cosplay Contest
2:00 - 3:30 p.m. - PS2 Contest
3:30 - 4:30 p.m. - Karaoke Contest
4:30 - 5:00 p.m. - PS2 Contest
5:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Prize Giving and Lucky Draw

The competition fee is RM 5 for fanart, karaoke, and PS2, and RM10 for Cosplay

The date line for the submission of the cosplay and karaoke contest as well as the fanart contest has been extended to Thursday (28th June 2007). By then, we must receive your application form + any songs that you might need for your participation + picture of costume (For those entering the cosplay contest) + Participation fees + Artwork(For those entering the Fanart Contest)

FAQ
1) Where is taylor's Main Campus? how to get there?
Ways to get there include:
a) special coach service from one utama by upod. Click here or go to http://www.1utama.com.my/howtogethere.aspx for more info.
b ) by bus, Rapid KL.
There is one that stops nearby the post office near taylors but i think it is only for rapid kl local area. So i suggest the best is to stop at Subang Parade, even though you have to walk quite a distance. The route from Subang Parade to Taylor's College can be seen in the Taylors map of location.
c) by Train. KTM located at Subang Parade.
Note that if your home is anywhere near a train station in the map, you can always transfer to ktm train at KL central or any interchange station and hop in the sentul-portklang KTM train. however, remember to hop out at SUBANG JAYA station. the route from the station to Taylors college is also shown in the taylor's map.
Rapid kl goes along this two roads that will pass by at post office (where u are suppose to hop down).
To those who come by KTM, there is a rapidkl station near carefour(which is beside ktm), get up that bus and get down at post malaysia along jln subang utama/persiaran. in the image, you get down at the stop where it is written there 'ANDA DI SINI' since our president went to the station and took the picture of it personally... =D once u get down, u should be able to see the colleges, walk along the road until u reach taylors... GoodLuck everybody!, don't get lost! ^^

2) Can we rent booths?
We originally provided booths for sponsers to sell their merchandise. However, after many request, we decided to provide booth rental, which is of smaller size for doujinshi, etc. So the answer is Yes, the form has just been uploaded.
3) Can we submit digital fanart?
After much discussion, we finally came to an agreement to allow digital fanart after all. Please mail both hardcopy of the fanart and .psd file (for verification purposes) to us before the deadline which is the 23rd of June.
4) Are there group and individual category for cosplaying?
As of now, we are only judging individual contestants.
5) Time limit for karaoke competition?
There in a min time limit of 2 minutes but no maximum time limit. However, anything around 5 minutes should be more than sufficient.
6) where do we send the form to?
