It all depends on whether I am interested in the theme of the book. i would normally turn down books that are too f"actual and boring" for my taste even if it may be the Da Vinci Code!

I generally like fiction. Non-fiction tends to be crammed with too many boring facts. There might be exceptions, of course, if it's on a theme I'm interested in. But I'd still go for fiction first.

Fiction, mostly. If I want non-fiction, I can just read the paper or magazines...
There are exceptions of course. I like non-fiction which are funny and poke fun at the society :)

Agree here. By the way, if we really desire to learn up a new subject of stuff like stock trading, it is advisable to buy a book and study.

I prefer fiction.

I always believe that through everything that is real, there's always room for imagination. And I turn to books for it :)

Fiction based on fact... does that sound oxymoronic? I like fiction but still grounded in reality, meaning no star-trek like theme...

Fiction!

We're already living in a world where everything is real and non-fiction-ish. Sometimes, I just need another world where I can just forget about the present.

Once I study fiction, I will immerse in the world~~Most of the fiction makes me feel sleepy, no offence.
