I just completed my A-levels and I am planning to do the adp program.( 1+2)
I found out that I am unable to get loan for the one year in Malaysia as we need to do a minimum of one year here.
Does anyone know why such ruling was made?
Getting the loan would help ease the financial burden greatly.

Somehow, the amount of loan from PTPTN is not much though...
Hi, I am actually very confused with the amount of loan given by PTPTN to students.Do PTPTN actually see the applicants' parents' salary before deciding on the amount of loan given to students. I have asked all my friebs who took PTPTN loans and according to them they only get half compared to the maximum amount they are allowed to borrow for a particular course. Even students from poor families or not-so-well-to-do families did not get to borrow up to the maximum amount. To quote a few examples, a friend of mine who is studying biochem at IPTA only get half of the loan even though she is not very rich.Secondly, my mom's fren's daughter who intends to do management at IPTS only get to borrow half compared to the max amount albeit the fact that she is from single-parent family.and etc................
However, I had a fren who is currently pursuing medicine at IPTS.According to him, he managed to borrow up to the maximum amount which is 150k for medcine.Even all his frens who is in the same uni as him get to borrow up to 150k without having to appeal to PTPTN at all.
Therefore, I am wondering how PTPTN distribute the loans to students.Due to this confusion, I am in a BIG DILEMMA on whether or not I should just go to AIMST uni to do my foundation after SPM as I can only afford to do medicne at AIMST but provided that I can secure the 150k loan.If I dont get to secure the 150k loan upon completion of my foundation, then my dreams of becoming a doctor would TOTALLY BE A SHATTERED ONE.
I am not very confident of getting a place at IPTA too because even though if I get a CGPA of 4.0, there is still no guarantee that I can secure a place.Besides, if I get a CGPA of 3.9 or 3.8 which can be consider as a very high CGPA,I will not get to pursue med at IPTA too.
