You cannot use normal solid modeling for such sexy design.
Only with surface modeling, it is possible.
You can see the faint blue wire frame giving the form of such curvy plate.
the top has the form of projectory plane and 3 wireframes to give rise to the surface platform.
project the projectory sketch onto the surface platform and then thicken it... VIOLA ! you get a sexy shell for your mouse !
