UKCAT is a fairly new aptitude test used by certain medical schools in UK,namely Aberdeen, Leeds etc. However, it's actually quite new to all these medical school as it was introduced in 2007(if i'm not mistaken), so the way it's used remains unknown. However, some universities do set a cut-off point for UKCAT in the admissions process. It shouldn't be a problem if you've managed to get 600+ as that's already considered above average. This, however, doesn't apply to Edinburgh, as the average score for UKCAT of the intake is 700. Hope this helps.
